Volunteer with Sunrise

Volunteers are essential to our mission of creating lasting change in the lives of survivors. Whether you're looking to contribute individually or as part of a group, Sunrise offers a variety of opportunities to get involved.

Ways to Volunteer

  • Individual & Group Opportunities
Support is needed on an ongoing basis and for special projects. Community groups can also schedule a “Day of Caring” to help with tasks like landscaping, cleaning, organizing, or light maintenance.

  • Office Support
Help with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, copying, shredding, or assisting at community events.

  • Direct Service
Work directly with survivors in our shelter, court, and advocacy programs, or assist with children’s outreach sessions.

  • Internships
We partner with local colleges to offer internships in social work, psychology, and marketing.

Training Requirements

Direct service volunteers and interns are required to complete a 60-hour training program to ensure they’re fully prepared to support survivors and their families.
