Sunrise is a catalyst for change that empowers residents of Pasco County to save lives, educates the community, and changes lives through domestic and sexual violence intervention and prevention services.
We will provide opportunities for growth and enrichment to our dedicated employees and our community in which we operate, while sustaining a financially strong agency. In everything we do, we will act with respect, fairness, and integrity.
Sunrise's vision is to lead our community in creating an environment in which domestic and sexual violence does not exist.
Intervention and prevention.
Using an empowerment model, the agency is made up of two major areas: intervention and prevention.
The intervention team is made up of advocates who help participants set their own goals and then plan with them to help reach those goals.
The prevention team focuses on training in the community through schools, law enforcement, and various health care providers. We want to get in front of the violence before it can even start.
