Support Sunrise

Join us and our community in our quest to eliminate violence from our lives, our neighbors, and our families. Help fund Sunrise of Pasco, Inc. to ensure that domestic violence survivors always have a safe place to go and advocates to help them create lasting changes in their lives.

Approximately 1 in 3 of women and 1 in 5 men will be affected by domestic violence during their lifetimes. It takes caring people like you to fund agencies like Sunrise so that the next person who calls our 24-hour hotline has access to an advocate in the court system, a support group to help them through trying times, or simply clothing to send their children to school in after they have left an abusive home.

To learn about the impact your financial contribution will have on our community, contact the development department at info@Sunrisepasco.org or 352-521-3358.

Sunrise to Sunset Capital Campaign
Sunrise of Pasco has a 40-bed domestic violence emergency shelter which offers protection and services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. The Sunrise to Sunset Capital Campaign was established to enable Sunrise of Pasco to maintain the physical facilities necessary to serve and provide a comfortable, homelike environment for survivors of domestic abuse. Multiple naming opportunities exist at many giving levels to permanently memorialize your generosity.

Volunteer

Richard Hamilton is awarded "Volunteer of the Year" for his contributions to the Solutions Thrift Store. No matter what you like to do, there is a volunteer role for you at Sunrise.

Shelter Wish List

When Sunrise participants escape a dangerous situation at their home, they may not have the chance to pack clothing or personal care items.  Donations from this SUNRISE WISHLIST mean so much to survivors who must start over with nothing.

The fastest way to make an impact is to donate items to directly help our agency and the folks we serve.  Below are the different types of items that we provide daily, monthly, and on occasion.

Give a bequest or a planned gift

Gift annuities, life insurance policies, endowment funds, IRA’s and other donations which are often tax advantaged, strategies enable donors to make meaningful gifts to provide crucial financial support for the future of Sunrise of Pasco. Your generous gift through your bequest will help survivors in Pasco County and create a philanthropic legacy for others to follow.

When you make your lifetime giving plans, remember that by providing for Sunrise of Pasco through a bequest, your estate will receive the full benefit of an estate tax charitable contribution deduction. Your investment in our future will ensure a community without domestic violence so that home is a safe place for generations to come.

Give stock

By gifting shares of appreciated stock, you receive two additional benefits for your generosity: a tax deduction for the total value of the stock and no capital gains on the additional money you made from the appreciation of the stock. Plus, your contribution has a value to Sunrise of Pasco now that is far greater than the price you paid for the stock originally.
