St. Pete Women's March Day of Action

We had a great time promoting Sunrise at the 2018 St. Pete Women’s March Day of Action held at Williams Park on January 21st. It was great meeting so many other organizations who are advocating against injustice and bringing awareness to social causes within our communities! We were joined by a number of grassroots activists and organizers such as, Project No Labels, Dream Defenders, NextGen, Organize Florida Pasco, Pasco NOW and Indivisible Pasco, to name a few. Donations were also given to help provide financial hurricane relief to our Sister Islands: Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and Florida Keys.

The mission of Women’s March is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change. The Women’s March is committed to dismantling systems of oppression through nonviolent resistance and building inclusive structures guided by self-determination, dignity and respect.
