The Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence (FCADV) will hold its 21st annual Rural Domestic Violence Statewide Training Institute on May 16 and 17, 2018 in Dade City, FL.
FCADV is seeking individual or team presentations, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and interagency presentations featuring a variety of disciplines responsible for domestic violence advocacy, perpetrator accountability, and direct service provision of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence and stalking in rural communities.
The Rural Training Institute brings attention to the unique needs of rural communities serving survivors of intimate partner violence. Students, direct service advocates, law enforcement, child protection, health care providers, allied agencies, professionals and other individuals who work in the domestic violence arena throughout Florida will come together to increase their knowledge of emerging trends in assisting survivors and their children. Workshops should address a wide range of topics and be accessible to experienced and new advocates and allies..
