The CQI committee is made up of several selected staff members and stakeholders | | outside the agency. The CQI committee meets monthly and it is meant to be a safe place to honestly and genuinely tackle the improvement needs of our agency. The goal of the CQI process is to establish an ongoing mechanism to identify areas of service that need improvement. As the needs of the agency are identified, or the needs of the community change, the CQI process is in place to methodically address the resolution of the identified areas of improvement. | One Billion Rising - Strike/ Dance/ Rise, a global protest of violence against women, was |
| | held in Dade City on Valentines Day. The goal was to get one billion people worldwide to stand in solidarity against rape, violence and cultural attitudes that allow the abuse of women and girls. People of all ages gathered to perform a dance choreographed by Debbie Allen to "Break the Chain" a song sung by Tena Clark. The dance was also performed around the United States and in some 200 countries around the world. Speakers of all ages spoke at the rally. | | welcomed 170 guests to the event. This year's theme "30 Years of Bringing Peace To Homes" was in honor of the 30 years that Sunrise has been in our community providing services to adult and child victims of violence. Brenda McBath, President of the Board of Directors of Sunrise, began the morning with a presentation to Judge Lynn Tepper in honor of her 30 years of thinking "beyond the courtroom and using innovative ways to create change so that we can all share in a safe, healthy community with stronger families." Ms. McBath then introduced Camille Hernandez, Mayor of the City of Dade City who would lead the speakers through the next 30 years of Sunrise history.
